In the past few years, the University of Bihać has intensified its efforts to increase outgoing and incoming mobility flows with other partner institutions in the region, Europe and the United States. Considering that international study experiences are important - not only for a personal development and intercultural experience - but also for the latter application in the career, this segment of internationalization was understood as an imperative in the strategic documents of the University. The University is seriously working to increase the incoming and outgoing mobility of students, researchers and teachers, as well as of non-teaching staff. The main bearer of these activities is the Office for Scientific Research and International Relations.

When it comes to creating conditions for increasing the mobility of students and staff of the University of Bihać, cooperation has been established with institutions within the Erasmus+ ICM program, and with many universities from Turkey within the Mevlana exchange program. In addition to these two programs, the exchange of students and teachers is also enabled through the CEEPUS III network and the freemover program, as well as the UNET network (link); through programs funded by the United States Embassy in Bosnia and Herzegovina (Fulbright and Global UGRAD); through CMEPIUS scholarship Slovenia.

Incoming and outgoing mobility of students, researchers, teachers and non-teaching staff is realized through the Office for Research and International Relations of the University of Bihać - from the publication of the Calls (via the website of the University of Bihać, Facebook page of the Office for International Cooperation UNBI, Facebook page of the University of Bihać, Infoservice), through administration to the final selection of candidates. The Office provides professional and administrative support to students and staff during the application process, testing candidates to determine their level of English language proficiency. The Office participates in the selection of the registered candidates in accordance with the established criteria nominating them after the completed selection procedure; provides support during the period of mobility and initiates the procedure of recognition of ECTS towards faculties after the realized mobility period; also provides professional assistance to Faculties/Departments in terms of recognition procedure and in creating reports in accordance with the Rules of Mobility at the University of Bihać; also provides support to Student Service Offices in entering the necessary mobility data in the diploma supplement.

All professional and administrative support from the Office is also provided in case of incoming mobility, preparation of necessary documentation in cooperation with the host faculties, finding adequate accommodation, assistance with the entire application process for obtaining a temporary residence permit, etc.

All interested parties who wish to conduct part of their studies, research or professional development apart from their home University can contact Alma Bosnić, Expert Advisor for International Cooperation (Erasmus+ ICM and Mevlana Coordinator) and Džalila Muharemagić, Expert Advisor for Scientific Research (CEEPUS coordinator).

Due the pandemics University of Bihać decided to suspend all mobility activities of students and staff within all available exchange programs in both directions (outgoing and incoming) for the first (winter) semester of the academic year 2020/2021.
