Professor Nevzet Veladžić was born in Varoška Rijeka, Bužim, Bosnia and Herzegovina, in 1965. He finished elementary school in Bužim, and in 1984 he graduated from the Gazi Husrev Bey Madrasah in Sarajevo. He graduated from the Faculty of Philosophy of the University of Pristina in 1990. He enrolled in postgraduate studies at the Faculty of Political Sciences of the University of Sarajevo, and in 2004 he obtained an MA degree. He defended his doctoral dissertation in 2008 on the topic of Max Weber's concept of bureaucratization of the state and rationalization of rights.

From 1993 to 1994, he was a part of the diplomatic staff at the Embassy of the Republic of Bosnia and Herzegovina in Zagreb. In 1996, he was appointed as the director of Una-Sana Canton Radio Television. In 1998, he was appointed to the position of an adviser in the Ministry of Education, Science, Culture and Sports of the Una-Sana Canton, and in 2000 he transferred to the Faculty of Law of the University of Bihać, where he continued his academic career. In addition to teaching, in 2010 he was elected to the position of the dean of the Faculty of Law, and he held that office until 2016. From 2016 to December 2018, he served as vice dean for education at the Faculty of Law. At the beginning of 2019, he was elected to the position of acting rector of the University of Bihać. Presently, he works as a full professor at the Faculty of Law of the University of Bihać teaching undergraduate, postgraduate and doctoral level courses on Sociology of Law, Methodology of Social Sciences, and Democracy and Human Rights.

Professor Nevzet Veladžić has authored four books in the field of sociology and scientific research methodology, and has published more than fifty scientific and professional papers. He participates in numerous research projects on the topic such as improving public administration, as well as the development of qualification standards in higher education in Bosnia and Herzegovina. In addition to the Faculty of Law in Bihać, he has also taught at numerous other faculties, including the Faculty of Criminal Justice and Security Studies and the Faculty of Administration at the University of Sarajevo, the Faculty of Medicine at the University of Zenica, and the Faculty of Law at the University of Tuzla, where he is a professor at the Ph.D. studies.
