Content and Qualifications
The doctoral study program in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science at the Technical Faculty of the University of Bihać is conducted within the Department of Electrical Engineering. It represents the highest level of education in the fields of electrical and computer engineering. The program is designed to address contemporary challenges in information technologies, automation, electronics, and energy efficiency, while fostering advanced competencies in research, development, and the application of emerging technologies. The program spans three years (six semesters), comprising a total of 180 ECTS credits. The curriculum includes theoretical coursework, independent research activities, participation in scientific conferences, the writing and presentation of scholarly papers, and the preparation and defense of a doctoral dissertation. The program enables students to develop the capacity for autonomous scientific research, to solve complex engineering problems, and to engage in innovation within advanced technical and technological domains.
Expected Competencies
Upon completion of the program, doctoral graduates will be equipped to lead research projects in electrical engineering and computer science, to develop advanced hardware and software systems, to optimize energy and information processes, and to contribute to the development of new technologies in both industry and academia. Graduates will also be prepared to play a key role in driving digital transformation and technological progress at the regional and broader international levels.
