Content and Qualifications
The second-cycle (Master’s) study program at the Faculty of Law, University of Bihać, is organized over two semesters and carries 60 ECTS credits. In the first semester, students take one compulsory course and five elective courses according to their chosen specialization; in the second semester, students register and write a master’s thesis. Upon completion of the second-cycle Law program at the Faculty of Law, University of Bihać, graduates are awarded the academic title Master of Law, with a specialization in Civil Law, Criminal Law, Constitutional Law, or European Law.
Expected Competencies
Upon completion of the program, graduates will acquire advanced and systematized knowledge in specific areas of law, enabling them to recognize and address new and emerging legal issues. Furthermore, by obtaining the academic title of Master of Law, graduates fulfill the necessary prerequisites for further advancement in their professional careers. They become qualified to independently and professionally perform a variety of complex and demanding legal tasks at higher levels of responsibility within the judiciary, public administration, business sector, and in freelance legal professions. A wide range of career opportunities is available to Master of Law graduates, including traditional legal professions, public administration, political engagement, the corporate sector, international organizations, and especially education and scientific research.
