Content and Qualifications
The doctoral program in Advanced Manufacturing Engineering at the Technical Faculty of the University of Bihać is conducted jointly by the Department of Mechanical Engineering and the Department of Wood Technology. It represents the highest level of education in the field of technical sciences. The program is designed to address contemporary challenges in industry, with a particular focus on advanced manufacturing technologies, innovations in product design and construction, and the development of sustainable production processes. The duration of the program is three years (six semesters), carrying a total of 180 ECTS credits. The curriculum includes theoretical coursework, independent research, seminar activities, participation in scientific conferences, and the preparation of a doctoral dissertation. The program is structured to develop students’ abilities for independent scientific research, critical thinking, and innovative problem-solving in complex engineering contexts.

Expected Competencies
Upon completion of the program, doctoral candidates will be qualified to independently lead research projects in the field of manufacturing engineering, apply modern methods and tools for the analysis and optimization of production processes, and develop and implement innovative solutions in product design and construction. They will also be prepared to contribute to interdisciplinary teams working on the development of sustainable and efficient manufacturing systems, as well as to disseminate knowledge through academic and professional activities.
