Professor Irfan Hošić awarded with the Igor Zabel Award Grant

Professor at the Textile Department of the University of Bihać, Irfan Hošić, received prestigious Igor Zabel Grant Award by the Igor Zabel Association for Culture and Theory from Ljubljana. He was nominated by art historians and independent curators Anton Lederer and Margarethe Makovec from Graz in Austria. The jury, Manuel Borja-Villel, art historian and former director of the Museum Reina Sofía from Madrid; Ilona Németh, artist, curator, and professor at the Faculty of Architecture and Design at the Slovak University of Technology STU, Bratislava and Angelika Richter, art historian, curator, and president of the Weißensee School of Art and Design, Berlin, "awarded Irfan Hošić in recognition of his inspirational ability to connect art, education, and community-building as well as his ability to propose new initiatives, manage them, and give them the necessary impetus to thrive and have an impact on the societies in which they operate" (from the jury statement).
