Professor Bernadin Ibrahimpašić was born in Bosanska Krupa in 1967, where he completed primary and secondary education. He obtained bachelor’s degree in mathematics at the Faculty of Science, University of Zagreb. He completed his postgraduate studies at the Faculty of Science and Mathematics at the University of Sarajevo, and obtained the degree of Master of Science in Mathematics. He is the first doctor of mathematical science in the area of the Una-Sana Canton. He defended his doctoral dissertation at the Faculty of Science at the University of Zagreb and obtained the degree of Doctor of Mathematical Science.
From 1991 to 2000, he was employed at the Safet Krupić High School and the General Grammar School in Bosanska Krupa, after which he worked as an expert advisor for mathematics and IT at the Una-Sana Canton Pedagogical Institute in Bihać. Since 2003, he has been employed at the University of Bihać. He has been a full professor since 2015. He taught at 11 faculties at the universities in Bihać, Mostar, Tuzla and Zenica. For more than 10 years, he held the position of Vice-Dean for Education and Student Affairs and Vice-Dean for Research at the Faculty of Pedagogy at the University of Bihać. He was the head of the Mathematics and Physics Department as well as the head of the Master Degree Programme. He served as the head of the Center for Quality Assurance and Internal Evaluation of the University of Bihać. He is a roster expert for the accreditation of higher education institutions with the Agency for the Development of Higher Education and Quality Assurance of Bosnia and Herzegovina.
Professor Bernadin Ibrahimpašić is the author of three university textbooks and more than 80 research and professional papers. He presented the results of his works at more than 50 conferences in Bosnia and Herzegovina, Austria, France, Croatia, Hungary, Poland and Serbia. He was a supervisor for doctoral dissertations, master's theses, graduate and final papers. He reviews university and school textbooks, and he also does peer review for scientific journals in Bosnia and Herzegovina, Australia, Bulgaria, Croatia, South Korea, Malaysia, Serbia, the United Kingdom and the USA. He is a certified as a leader in the area of online teaching, and he is also certified for quality inclusive education. He is a member of the Association of Mathematicians of Bosnia and Herzegovina, the American Mathematical Society and he is the president of the Association of Mathematicians of Una-Sana Canton.
