Programme Overview, Qualifications, and Competencies
The Bachelor of Mechanical Engineering programme with a specialization in Manufacturing Engineering prepares students for the design, manufacturing, and optimisation of machines and production systems. The curriculum covers subjects such as materials science, manufacturing technologies, automation, and CAD/CAM systems. Production engineers play a vital role in enhancing mechanical systems, tools, devices, and production lines. Graduates are equipped to analyse and resolve technical production challenges, ensure product quality, optimise costs, and improve operational workflows. They are also skilled in using computer-aided design, simulation, and analysis software and often contribute to the implementation of new technologies in manufacturing practices.
