Content and qualifications
The main goal of the Law study program is the education of competent experts in the field of law in accordance with the needs and requirements of the environment. The program is organized as a four-year course which is realized over eight semesters (240 ECTS) and leads to the title of Bachelor of Law. The study program of basic academic law studies represents the first step in the academic education of future jurists. It enables students to acquire theoretical and practical knowledge and skills in the field of law necessary for professional and independent practice of the legal profession.

Expected competencies
The organization of a society and state in contemporary world is unimmaginable without a legal dimension, and the legal profession is a necessary segment for the functioning of an organized social community. Upon completion of the study program, students have wide opportunities for employment, and personal and professional development. Students acquire competencies and knowledge in various legal fields, and become qualified to perform a wider range of jobs in the profession, with a special emphasis on jobs in the legal profession, judiciary, administration, notary, economy, governmental and non-governmental organizations, in educational and research institutions, and other socially beneficial institutions. Upon completion of the study program, students acquire the competencies needed to perform legal work not only in our country, but also in neighboring countries, members of the European Union and other countries.
