Content and qualifications
The study programme of automation and electronics covers topics from the field of automatic control systems and robotics. Special emphasis is placed on the study of electronic components and analogue and digital integrated circuits. Industrial internships are included in the study program, where students receive practically applicable knowledge directly from employers.

Expected competencies
Young experts who graduate from the Department of Electrical Engineering, majoring in automation and electronics, practically apply knowledge from the field of automation in automatic control systems and robotics; and also practically apply knowledge from the field of electronics in analogue and digital systems. Their competencies include the ability: to analyse, develop, design and maintain automatic control systems; to analyse, develop, design and maintain analogue and digital systems for independent or team work in companies which apply systems based on automation, robotics and electronics; and to apply computer tools in automation and electronics.
