Content and Qualifications
The study programme of Primary School Education is designed as a four-year programme and is harmonized with equivalent programmes in the EU countries, which enables graduates to follow European processes which require more efficient involvement in market flows. Bachelors of primary school education are trained to successfully, independently realize educational work in the elementary school education of a nine-year primary education by applying advanced knowledge, abilities, and skills from the field of educational work. They are prepared for independent lifelong learning and professional development following new achievements in the field of educational work; for achieving cooperation with the social environment and various factors of educational work in the field of primary education; for a creative approach to school curriculum, organizing and evaluating the educational work of lower grade pupils.

Expected Competencies
After completing a four-year programme, bachelors of primary school education possess the knowledge of contemporary scientific achievements in educational work with children in primary education; they can teach independently in the elementary school education; they can critically evaluate facts and theoretical assumptions in a broader educational context and understand modern problems of upbringing and education. They are capable of independent and continuous professional development. They possess the knowledge and skills to use adequate IT packages to find, research, develop and present numerical values, text, and images. They play at least one musical instrument. They theoretically and practically use art techniques. They know different sports both theoretically and practically.
