University of Bihać has made a significant progress in the aspect of internationalization in the last few years. The internationalization in this context refers mostly to the mobility of students and staff to the partner institutions outside Bosnia and Herzegovina; incoming students, researchers and teaching staff from other partner instutions; cooperation within international research and development projects; bilateral agreements for knowledge transfer and mobility.
Various activities have led to a significant progress in promotion of internationalization and mobility at University of Bihać which resulted in the raised awareness on importance of internationalization among staff and students. The one of the most important activities has been the adoption of a strategic document Strategy of Internationalization at University of Bihać 2018-2023.
In order to provide better mobility opportunities for students and staff, an intensive effort has been made for establishment of cooperation with partner institutions within the Erasmus+ ICM program, as well as the Mevlana program financed by the government of Republic of Turkey. Besides the two programs, mobility of students and staff is possible through a CEEPUS III network and freemover mobility, UNET network of ex-Yugoslavian universities, programs financed by the U.S. Embassy in Bosnia and Herzegovina (Fulbright and Global UGRAD), CMEPIUS scholarships financed by the Republic of Slovenia, and several other programs. The main initiator and implementer of these activities is the Office for Research and International Relations of University of Bihać.
Interested students and staff who want to spend a study period, conduct a research, engage in professional development outside their home university, or initiate a project, are invited to contact the Office staff: Alma Bosnić, Expert Advisor for International Relations (Erasmus+ ICM and Mevlana Coordinator) and Džalila Muharemagić, Expert Advisor for Research (CEEPUS Coordinator).
