Associate Professor Jasmina Ibrahimpašić was born in 1970 in Bihać where she completed her primary and secondary education. She is a graduate of Biochemical Engineering from the Faculty of Food Technology and Biotechnology, University of Zagreb (1994). From 1995 to 1997 she worked as a junior researcher at a Laboratory for Organic Chemistry at the Faculty of Food Technology and Biotechnology in Zagreb. She obtained her master’s degree in 2002 at the Faculty of Science, University of Zagreb, and defended her doctoral dissertation at the Faculty of Food Technology and Biotechnology, University of Zagreb, in 2009. From 1997 to 2004 she worked in the Government of Una-Sana Canton. Since October 2004 she has been working at the Biotechnical Faculty, University of Bihać first as Teaching Assistant, then as Senior Teaching Assistant, and Assistant Professor.

She is an active participant in conferences, symposia, round tables and seminars in the field of environmental protection which are organized at local, cantonal, and federal level. She works as an Authorized Advisor to the Ministry of Environment and Tourism of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina in the process of issuing environmental permits. She is the President of the Organizing Committee of the scientific-professional conference June 5 World Environment Day organized by the Biotechnical Faculty of the University of Bihać and the Ministry of Construction, Physical Planning and Environmental Protection of Una-Sana Canton. She has published more than 50 scientific papers. She is the director and participant in a number of projects. She has completed professional training in Slovenia in the field of Bioremediation, and training within Erasmus+ KA1 programme at the Wroclaw University of Science and Technology, Faculty of Environmental Engineering.

She is the author of a university textbook, and she was a supervisor for more than 20 graduate / final papers, two master's theses and one doctoral dissertation, which is in the realization phase. She is currently working as an Associate Professor in the field of Industrial and Environmental Biotechnology. She was elected as an Associate Professor in 2010, and since August 2016 she has been the Vice-rector for Finance and Development at the University of Bihać.
